Football

In the game of football, every position is specialized. Each position has a unique set of demands that requires specific training. Strength and conditioning should be tailored to the player's position to create an efficient program that will maximize the player's speed, strength, power and fitness, allowing each player to perform at an elite level. SPC offers a variety of programs for football that address every level of athletic play from pop warner, to high school, to college, to combine preparation, to NFL off-season preparation.

  • Build optimal size and explosive strength to help dominate at the line of scrimmage.
  • Increase first step quickness and acceleration to hit the whole at top speed and outrun the secondary.
  • Develop multi-directional speed with optimal core stability to make people miss, create separation, or close down quickly on the ball carrier.
  • Maximize single leg balance and power to prevent injury and increase agility.
  • Increase strength for the Quarterback position: Increase arm strength, prevent throwing injuries, sharpen footwork, break tackles and make defenders miss.
  • Power and speed development for lineman and linebackers: shed blocks, win the battles at the line of scrimmage, chase down ball carriers from behind and get to the quarterback.

Special SPC High School Football Programs Include:

  • Two week mini-camps during hands off period.
  • Full off-season, pre-season and/or in-season position specific training program prescription.
  • Summer mini-camps for high school programs.
  • College bound athlete preparation.
